Hands-on labs

Both labs \"Conics and tools to draw them\" and \"Geometric transformations\" are given in an equipped classroom at Liceo Scientifico "A.Tassoni" di Modena, Viale Reiter 66, Modena, Italy. They are mainly designed for high school students. Each lab session can vary from one and a half to two hous. The activity develops in three phases:

  • introduction to the subject by one of our experts;
  • students groups activities using maths machines: students will use guiding forms and will be supported by one of our experts;
  • students presentations of the observations they made during the exploration of the machines .

Groups of maximum 26 people can be hosted. In case you consider to have more than one group of students attending the labs, separate sessions will need to be organised. When booking please specify the following:

  • if you prefer two subsequent sessions or one session the morning and one in the afternoon (please consider that this second option will depend upon the arrival time);
  • in case you decide for two subsequent sessions, we regret to specify that the group not attending the lab, cannot be hosted inside the school buildings while waiting.
